After a brief review of routines and expectations, we got right into the different kinds of texts and identified together the reasons why different people wrote different types of texts… including the biography. We then read and analyzed our first “AUTO BIOGRAPHY” (“Le casse tête de ma vie”) and pieced together a few of the characteristics of such a text. In social studies, I introduced the vague concept of  “Middle Ages” and asked the students to answer 1 question (in their heads tonight…and after possible discussion with parents, siblings…) before we started this period in history. The question was: What is and what does it mean to do “Social Studies”… Thanks to all for your childrens’ fees and the colored administrative sheets…  … Also, greatly appreciate your comments… P
